We recently completed a lift for Leichty Homes, using a large crane to move two sections of the home onto the prepared foundation. Setting a modular home took careful planning and constant coordination. Our crew worked together to make sure everything was placed correctly.

Preparing for the Modular Home Lift

A successful modular home set starts well before the first section leaves the ground. Our crew reviewed the site and planned for the trucks to deliver each module. We also accounted for the space needed by the ground crew to position each section. Good preparation gave the crew a clear plan to follow and helped the lift run smoothly once work began.

Positioning and Setting Up the Crane

The crane needed a stable setup with enough reach and capacity to move each module onto the foundation. Our crew positioned the crane, prepared the support system, and cleared the surrounding work area to create a safe space for the lift. We also reviewed the site and equipment to make sure everything was ready for the job. Once the setup was complete, our crew performed final checks before making the first lift.

Coordinating the Job Site

Clear communication kept the crew safe and focused. The crane operator stayed in contact with the ground crew while they watched the home section, rigging, foundation, and work area. Everyone followed the same plan to place each section.

Lifting the Modular Home Sections

The modular home arrived at the site in large sections that were ready to be placed on the foundation. Rigging was attached at designated lifting points to support each module and keep it balanced. The crane then raised each section from the delivery trailer and moved it toward the foundation. Slow, controlled movements allowed the ground crew to guide it into position.
