Certified Crane Operators: For Our ND and WY Locations

  • NCCCO Certified
  • Able to operate large hydraulic cranes: 140 -300 ton
  • Hold a Class A CDL
  • Must be able to work in North Dakota
  • Must pass background check and drug screen
  • Must have a motor vehicle record that qualifies individual to be an approved company driver as set forth by the insurance
  • Oil field experience preferred but not necessary
  • AT (All Terrain) experience is preferred but not necessary

Crane Riggers: For Our ND and WY Locations

Riggers have many responsibilities. Including but not limited to:

Assembles rigging to safely lift and move equipment or material in oil field, manufacturing plant, or on construction project: Selects cables, ropes, pulleys, winches, blocks, and sheaves, according to weight and size of load to be moved. Attaches pulley and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole booms, with bolts and clamps. Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wires, ropes, and chains, to crane hook. Gives directions to CRANE OPERATOR engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and material handled, using hand signals, or radio while guiding crane operators as objects are being moved and set into place. The Rigger sets up, braces, and rigs hoisting equipment, using hand tools and power wrenches.

  • A Rigger’s work is physically demanding:
  • Must be in good physical condition. Able to lift, push or pull 80 lbs.
  • Dynamic Strength — the ability to exert muscle force repeatedly or continuously over time.
  • The ability to use abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously without “giving out” or fatiguing.
  • Stamina — the ability to exert yourself physically over long periods of time.
  • Ability to keep or regain your body balance or stay upright when in an unstable position.
  • Manual Dexterity– the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands.
  • Must know where to attach the hooks, chains, and cables to lift a load safely.
  • Visually inspect rigging to ensure safety and reliability by checking tag for current inspection date.
  • Dismantle, account for, and properly store rigging equipment after job.
  • Make sure that safety requirements are met at all times
  • Maintain clean company equipment surfaces and component parts. i.e. crane, pickup, van, or heavy haul. Performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
  • Must also be able to give and take instructions both verbal and written, solve problems, and work well with others.

Heavy Haul Truck Drivers:

  • 5 + years of Heavy Haul Experience Preferred
  • Clean Driving Record
  • Able to Pass Background and Drug Screening
  • Must have a motor vehicle record that qualifies individual to be an approved company driver as set forth by the insurance
  • Class A CDL with Double and Triple Endorsements
  • PEC/Safeland Training preferred
  • Pay DOE

Crane Mechanic:

Responsibilities and Duties

(May include but are not limited to):

  • Responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on diesel engines, booms, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, brakes and other basic components.
  • Repair and replace damaged or worn parts on vehicles and equipment.
  • Ability to operate and perform thorough inspection of machines or heavy equipment to diagnose defects.
  • Perform other routine service maintenance work on equipment and vehicles.
  • Knowledge and understanding of all operating systems as necessary.
  • Test machinery and/ or equipment to ensure operating efficiency before and after repair or assembly for proper performance and compliance.
  • Fabricate, modify and/or install special equipment or parts using welders, torch sets, plasma cutter and metal cutting saws.
  • Diagnosing issues to determine required repairs, using engine diagnostic equipment such as computerized test equipment and calibration devices.
  • Knowledge of electrical systems to include troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining.
  • Perform and schedule maintenance for vehicles and equipment, while maintaining accurate and up to date service records.
  • Order and maintain parts inventory for services and repairs.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times,
  • Comply with all company, state and federally mandated safety policies and procedures.
  • Wear common protective or safety equipment, such as safety boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and hard hat as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor as needed.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum of 5 years as a certified crane mechanic and/or related experience and training.
  • Managerial experience preferred but not necessary
  • Must work well and communicate effectively with operators, other mechanics and leadership.
  • Exceptional troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Must provide own tools.
  • MIG welding and Oxy-Acetylene cutting practices preferred.
  • Must have valid CDL and satisfactory driving record.
  • Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Must be able to pass drug and alcohol test and physical.
  • Exceptional time management skills
  • Ability to work efficiently in a team environment as well as individually.
  • Clean and organized
  • Ability to stand, balance, climb, for long periods of time. Excellent hand to eye coordination.
  • Willingness to relocate to Minot, North Dakota
